I have always dreamed about flying in sky with no boundaries and just by myself. Since my childhood I had a dream to fly in air. One of my favorites song is -
पंछी बनू उडती फिरू मस्त गगन रे ..........
It was July,15'2012 - My hubby gave me a gift certificate for skydive during last week and today we were about to explore the new adventurous side of us :)
I hardly slept at night, just the thought of flying in sky was enough to forget other things around. We started our drive towards the skydiving station, praying that the weather should be good for the event. Last couple of weeks we all experience sudden change in atmospheric conditions.
When we arrive at the base station it was a cloudy weather with few drops of rain adding thrill to the situation. After filling up all the formalities and signing legal document that "I would be responsible, in case....." suddenly got scared and then I looked into my hubby's eyes; as he was more worried for me.
During whole session he was instructing me to follow rules and NOT to try something new.
I Smiled and said - I will be fine :)
After taking tour of all aircraft and other equipment, we were still hoping to have clear sky. Meanwhile, we tried our hand at Table Tennis game.
Ping-Pong was also one of best experience. At the end of game I could be able to serve as per rules... LOL :D
Also we made some new friends, my hubby & I was playing hide n seek with a new friend - Katyleen :)
By the time sky was clear and a team of experienced skydivers were ready to analyze the situation.
After successful dive they were very happy and next team was ready to go.
Guess what?
First one ready with all enthusiasm was me :)
Words simply can not express the experience................. Awesome.... Terrific..... I was flying in air....
Was jumping from 14,000 feet above the ground with free fall.
Was strictly following to my instructor. To be honest - Was Scared :)
Common anyone would do - falling with 200 Sq feet/Sec :)
By the time we enjoy scenic beauty around the area, this one was around 8,000 to 10,000 Sq. feet.
After the Parachute was operated in full mode, was enjoying controlled flying across the sky.
After landing... expressions says everything.
It was fantastic experience, truly unforgettable. Thanks a ton Swapnil for bringing Khushi in my life.
